It should be noted that other similar hotels in the same part of town do not treat their guests in this manner. This is a charming old hotel, but their behavior made my stay unpleasant.
The gate would not be opened for me to leave until they had their inspection. The location is in a great part of the city with many dining options nearby. The restaurant has good food and is reasonably priced. The THB María Isabel is an adults only hotel located in Playa de Palma, just 4 km from Mallorca Airport. Positives: The hotel is old and showing signs of age, but it is clean and well kept up.
